• Question: Can you make living organisms in a 3D printer?

      Yes, there’s lots of advance research taking place into 3D printing living tissue and other living cells. Both skin and organ tissue has been 3D printed in a laboratory recently.

      The bio-medical area is very active with 3D printing and new applications and uses are appearing every day.

      There are even experiments going on around 3D printing “designer” DNA, but I think that there’s a substantial ethical debate that needs to take place on this before we go too much further. I’m not the only one, Will.i.am, is very involved in 3D printing and said the same thing last week.
