Teamwork is all about a group of people all working towards the same goal – to get the job done! Where I work, there is not only 1 company, there is about 15 that we have to manage. And so, we work in one big team! (Just like one direction, as I can see you are a fan! 🙂 )

It is important however, that you also know how to work well on your own. Sometimes I may be asked to do a job by myself, but at the end of the day it will contribute to the team!

Hey 1DFan! I usually work as a part of the team to achieve a common goal but I do small tasks on my own from time to time. I think the job of an engineer involves a bit of both + a big word Communication. However I strongly agree that team work is very important to achieve excellence in whatever you do (does not need to be engineering releated). When people come together they can acomplish more because ‘two or more heads are better than one’ right? The other reason why team work is important is to bring people with different expertise together! for example I am good in Maths, analytical thinking and people say I am a good leader, however I am not good in design because my mind does not like working in 3D 🙂 So in order to complete a complicated task that involves mathematical analysis and design a product I need to work with others.

      Hi 1DFan and Alexis,

I work in a team of around 20 engineers who all have similar roles but we all work on different projects at the same time. Being able to interact with the people around you and get on well with them when working towards a common goal is really important. Without it we would never get anything done!

Having said that most of my tasks are undertaken on my own but there’s always support from the team whenever I need it.

      Huw 🙂
