  Creating product designs using a 3D printer would come under my area of work. Prototyping designs is like experimenting and using a 3D printer is a great way of making your theoretical design as physical objects so that you can do tests on them to see if they perform how you expected

  Anything which involves testing materials to find out how strong they are or to see when they break would be related to my job 🙂

  Same as Huw! apart from that I don’t know what else do you do at school nowadays – it’s been some time now since I was your age.
  But I would probably say that most of the experiments you do at school lead to a job of some engineer! 🙂
