In particular to my job my favourite part of the engine to work on is the gearboxes and bearings. Figuring out how all the gears and shaft move and where they transfer their power to is always very interesting, like solving a puzzle.

Something with nice stylish, organic shapes made out of sheet metal. That’s why I love cars so much, because when a designer gets the curves and creases right in a car body the effect can be a stunning piece of design.

Outside of work, I am constantly thinking of small design ideas. Simple things like, how should I decorate my room? In school I absolutely loved designing furniture. To be honest, with work, I haven’t yet had a lot of experience in designing. I studied a designing module at college where I got to draw floor plans and use the computer software and really enjoyed it. Hopefully in the future I will be able to get more involved in the design side of my job. 😀
